Grants from Organizations make Museum Possible
The Holley Museum of Military History is a dream
come true for the founder of the museum Jerry Holley.
The collecting of the artifacts took place over some 30 years.
The museum for most of the time was located in Holley's basement.
A little over two years ago the dream started to unfold as
Mr. Jim Parrish, the Chairman and founder of the Parrish Hotel
Corporation offered Holley five rooms at Parrish's Downtown
Topeka Ramada Hotel and Convention Center.
The first three galleries were open on April 1, 2006. The
final two galleries opened in mid-June 2008.
The dream coming true is because of the generously of not
only Mr. Parrish but a number of fine Grant organizations.
Besides the organizations listed below there was also an
anonymous gift from a World War two Veteran who saw plenty
of action in that war.
The Holley Museum of Miitary History thanks all of the good
people affiliated with these organizaitons for making possible
this museum.
